Postcript

thats rijkaard up there after last night's game (tee hee). so we could only draw with racing santander,wtf happened ? i've got my theories but  anyway, its 37 match days to go which is a LOT of chances still, so madridistas out there watch your mouths or i go ninja on you!!! lol seriously, you shouldnt be crowing cos you know we'd still beat your asses in the end ..uhm yes juli can gloat cos she's cool and only half madridrista and she's from Oz and..uhm what was i saying? oh yeah back the theories. well actually i dont have any, i have rants, and besides i didnt see the game hehe :P. i saw the reports i swear!!! - goal.com, yahoo, eurosports, etc. all the banners said the same thing: barca F4 flops blahblahblah. didnt bother reading. i'm sure its all exagg nway *nose in air*.  my friends tho briefed me on both barca and valencia matches and after much hair pulling erm theorizing, i've come up with some observations. below: my take on the day's losses based on hearsay lol..a word of warning: its downright silly but do read on, you know you want to!

ok lets start with barca...probable reasons why they lost:

FIRST, frank rijkaard

dont get me wrong, i love this guy, but dont you get the feeling he's caught in a mental stupor and doesnt strategize anymore? i mean our opponents basically use the same tactic against us. they park the bus and our game of attacking football goes pffffft. i've spent hours and hours watching barca frustrated this way..so wheres the creativity? messi works it, you cant blame the guy, but almost always defenders are parked on his ass and  eto'o has become a lion without menace. so what to do when other teams use defence to score points off us? countering that is obviously rijkaard's job as coach, but last season whenever barca would drop what looked liked a winning game i'd get the sense he couldnt do it anymore, that winning CL was a one-of and we won consecutive titles only because madrid was in a slump. but now they've started winning again!!! *gasp*. its clear we need to regroup but whats FR doing about it?? here's where the funny pic is dead on. FR cant spend his time sitting on his butt wishing he had madrid's "suerte" . remember last season when he tried out a new formation against zaragoza in the CdR and we romped off with a much needed 2-1 win? there was much rejoicing and that struck me as odd. we were defending champs but it was like we got lucky with a lottery draw. everyone was bowled over by one brilliant win and thats fine, but if i were a champ coach and have got all these great great players that cant seem to win even the easy matches, i'd be mortified. 

SECOND, the F4...

if you're lookin for messi in the pic, thats him the rubber ducky tehe...ok, am i blaming the F4 ? i'm not. its our fascination with the F4 thing that's bad ( read: high expectations). so alright that cant be help but could anybody point out to the smartass media that yes, barca signed all these top players but look, other teams have them too! i so dont get this talk about barca and its 'STARS', pshh. and what F4 are they talking abt? messi is not a star. he's a mascot!!! lol ok seriously, he's a barca homie, he was bought for a song (well for his medical treatment anyway ) and they pay him peanuts compared to others, so if he is a star thats cos he's sorta became one, worked his butt off too, and  no one can put him down by pinning the star label thingie on him. he's gifted, period. so  people its not F4, its F3.

THIRD, the Beatles

who else thinks dinho looks good in that haircut? lol!!!..anyway, remember how the beatles fought and then broke up ? well same thing here except instead of messi who's a peaceful guy, we have laporta the 5th beatle. its the same plot: talk of egos in the locker room, powerful dudes taking sides, rumour of a bust up, eto'o taking pot shots against coach ringo up there etc etc. just wanna say bust up already if you must!! cos duhhh there's a trophy to be won and all this bickering does nothing but distract the players from what they must do > win games. its nice to have a sideshow but this one is becoming stupid and annoying

FOURTH, deco and his fantasy of leaving

actually deco has nothing to do with this. i just wanted to post this pic cos its funny and mourinho looks like a retard hehe.

ok on to valencia now but first let me say i'm a valencianista in spirit (reason: david villa and that dude ayala) so no offence val fans, its just me being bored and blogging *wink*...so probable reasons why valencia lost:

FIRST, this guy here, nando morientes

he wasnt playing, that could be WHY. he was left in the stables again. is it tactic? cuz if it is well its not so great and i dunno know why quique flores even bothers since it just backfires anyway. i've seen enough games where moro's presence proved to be critical. he scores, he intimidates, he teams up well with david villa, in fact villa performs better with him around. plus the guy has this great energy that infects his team mates. pretty useful when you're down in the score sheets isnt it?  so beats me why he was left out again. its obvious: quique is mixing up his guys wrong!

SECOND, quique flores the coach

ok again i say i didnt see the game but i read he started angulo instead of moro. i think angulo is fine as a sub and he can score and he's had some really fine goals (vs. Real ha-ha)...but most times he botches the job and this was villareal they faced 1st day of la liga, same guys who did them in 3-2 (correct me val fans) at the mestalla end of last season. cant read his mind so dunno his reason for switching his men but maybe if he gets rid of the neck scarf more blood will flow to his brain...ok i'm a meanie 

THIRD, the 2 guys here, the ref and mi amor david villa *ahem*

ok 1st DV didnt deserve the yellow and he most certainly didnt deserve that red. my friends saw the match and they say it and i believe it. a lot of people accuse villa of faking but i've seen this guy play for like 1,000 times and i've never seen any evidence of it. he's the deco of valencia: opponents swarm him like bees and they only have on thing in mind, to dispossess him anyway they can fair means or foul and that usually involves tangled legs, so i dunno...and insulting the ref? thats a stretch for this guy. one time he was roughly tackled, a clear red which wasnt called and he was mad as hell but all he did was wave his arms a bit and blurt out 'mamma mia..' ...that a guy who disses a ref? santissima! and you know this ref perez lasa well he's been around and has done some things and enough to say that up to this day sevilla fans are hunting him down. so next time dave, pack your guns, aim and shoot (the ref) hehehe ..well he does look good as pancho villa

FOUTH, the missing one: don roberto fabian ayala

he was sorely missed, even the nutters over at goal.com were nostalgic. look, marchena did his best but without ayala there's like a gaping hole in the los che defence. people have said he left for money and blah blah, but i never bought that. he's said before he wants to retire with valencia and for someone who's shown years and years of devotion, he cant just be bullshitting. but anyway, he's gone to zaragoza and thats that. just sad  him not wearing the bat uniform anymore. he did look fab in it. sniff.
